My horse, An Act of Grace or Gracie
for short, has been at Harvest
Moon Acres for over a year now and
I could not be happier with the
care she receives at Harvest
Moon....We went to full board a few
months ago and I can say I have not
been
happier than to know Jezzie and
Harvest Moon Acres are taking care
of
my horse. Whenever I ask Jezzie a
question regarding my horse,
training or working with her she
never fails to answer my questions
no
matter how trivial. I have learned a
lot about my horse and her care
from Jezzie.....not only do I trust her
with my horses I
trust her with my children, Dakota &
Jenna. Two of my kids are taking
lessons from her. My 6 year old
daughter loves Jezzie and my 14 year
old enjoys her company and lessons
too. I have observed her at
lessons interacting with the kids
and have NEVER heard her even
raise
her voice. What I hear and see is
my kids learning to ride and having
fun..I firmly believe that you can tell
a lot about a person by watching
how the deal with animals and
children. Jezzie is one of those
people

I began looking for riding lessons
some time ago. I wanted to get back
into horses and riding after a 30
year hiatus from all things equine.
And I looked at lot of stables, in
person and on the web. I am not a
show barn type of person and I’m
not into a lot of hype and frills,
which is why I dragged my husband
(and later, a couple of horse-loving
friends) up to Harvest Moon after
finding their website. The place was
small, cozy, clean and comfortable.
Neither of us felt we had to impress
anyone and we were treated like
friends from the moment we arrived.
The horses we met were not the
jaded school hacks I remembered
from an earlier life of lessons and
they all looked healthy and content
and interested in the people around
them. I eventually fell in love with
and bought one of them. She was
one of the rescue cases that Harvest
Moon had taken in and rebuilt and
she continues to thrive and improve
and teach her new owner. Aside
from the aspect of learning to ride
horses, we were also interested in
learning to manage them well and
we’ve found there’s nothing we can’
t ask Jezzie and Rocky about that
they won’t take the time to explain.
So we have a lot to learn, both on
and off a horse, and we agree we
would just as soon learn it here at

year old down to the 7 year old, can't
wait for their riding lessons. Being
at Harvest Moon Acres has really
opened my eyes to what an amazing
rider my 12 year old is. She was so
intimidated by horses, but now, at
Jezzie's, she can hop on any any of
the horses and feel at ease.
Jezzie and Amy have taught my
gang many things, including proper
grooming, picking hooves, and
different riding styles.
I have boarded at other barns,
which were great experiences with
great people, but Jezzie has the "full
service" barn that I have never
experienced before. Not only can
you board your horse here, you can
receive great riding lessons from a
certified riding instructor.
I have seen how great the horses
look, and what wonderful care they
receive, and I can see that our
"baby" (Hackney Pony) belongs at
Harvest Moon Acres, too. They say
"seeing Is believing" and I believe in
what I see here at Harvest Moon
Acres. Harvest Moon Acres is
awesome.

45 minutes one way just for lessons.
