Youth Riders Camp (ages 10-15; limited to 8 campers) will be held June 14-18, 2010, 9am - 4pm.

Little Riders Camp  (ages 5-9; limited to 6 campers) will be held June 21 - 24, 2010, 9am - 2pm.

This year's camp will be our fourth annual event, and we couldn't be more excited! Due to our popularity, we have added a second week of camp, dedicated to our little riders!

Whether your child is an experienced rider or just beginning the wonderful journey with horses, our camp is fun and informative for ALL levels! All campers will explore:

• barn and riding safety
• horse anatomy and psychology
• grooming/bathing
• saddlery/tack 
• barn management
• horse first-aid
• different riding styles, appropriate for their skill level

We're not just about cleaning stalls.  Each camper will spend several hours in the saddle, in both group and private lessons and mounted games. Lessons include trail patterns, equitation, horsemanship and rail work.  Riders will also enjoy hands-on exercises with our clinicians (veterinarians, equine dentists, farrier, and other equine professionals). We have several fun games planned every day (Horse Jeopardy and Paint the Pony Parts, to name a few)! Most days end with a fun craft, such as a hoofprint garden stone, picture frame or a pony suncatcher, which the camper can take home with them!

Our camp is great for 4H members! We will also be learning how to band and braid manes, and other grooming secrets to help make your equine friend beautiful for the show ring.

Our riders work hard all week and get the chance to show off their new skills at the Camp Horse Show our last day! This fun show is judged by a real horse show judge, and the children are awarded real ribbons and other goodies. Family and friends are invited to join in the fun as we come together with an end-of-camp cookout and awards banquet.
